Also use the East wood exhaust and manifold treatment. Cured on the motor. Got the engine to running temp. Then let it cool did this several times. I did sand blast mine before doing the paint.
They can ask whatever they want but don't be a fool. Thought I paid way too much for my runner at 7 thou. But trying to find one is the hardest part. Even then somewhere wanting 15 thou for junk. No motor and bent up body's just a roller. You have to keep fishing to find that special deal.
Now that I have restored my 69 road runner fully. Bought for 7 thou. Put at least 30K in the resto. With gas prices going up and up wonder if I can afford to drive it. Was asked what I would take for the car now and said at least 100k. That is the price I don't want to sell it. Now will I have...
Bought all the parts to put console in my Runner. After-market parts are hard to line up. But after some time got it too close and open. Looks pretty straight but rub's a little when closing at the back of the door. It not going to get any better as long as it functions and look's straight, I am...
My buddy and I both rebuilt and restored our car's ourselves. Buying price for mine was 7 grand. Then dropped another 40 grand at least to bring the car back to life. Know I can never get the money out of what I put in it but don't intend on selling it. With gas prices going up have to drive it...
Nice car. Have a friend that has one for 60 thou. and is fully restored it is a 69. I do like to get my hand dirty and enjoy doing the work my self. As did with the runner. Thank you. toolmanmike
Roadrunner's are not going for much less either. Same thing when I was looking for one. 15 thou. for many and just rollers. Know a guy in stark fl. that has a few old mopar's. and will try and see what he has. Thanks for all the input.
I agree. Have a friend that has one and asked what he wanted for it. It is for sale. Fully restored and motor rebuild. Think it is an automatic car. Asking 60 thou. So that is in the ball park. Figure this runner I finished is in that area also. But the body shop guys say I am too low on the...
Yes that is what I was talking about. Would consider a fixer upper. But don't want to get into the pit fall I had with my runner. MOE MONEY is all it keep saying. Yes ran into may scam's when searching for the runner. BEWARE. One guy said he was in the service and in England. The car was stored...
Have been looking for a 69 charger too restore. Man can't believe the price for what is nothing much of a car. No motor or trans. Car is in rough shape also for even 15 grand. One I see is black and found it on Craigslist. That car is in so many states and same car listed for 15 thou. Others are...
If you even got close to 18 MPG that is a grate deal. Yep the heavy foot dose not get good fuel Millage. LOL. Just into finding out what I am getting on my 383 runner. But just cant seem to keep my foot out of it and kick in that four barrel.
Not hard to drop a 100K into a full on restore. Even if you do all the work your self it is not cheap either. Might cut the cost in half if you deduct the man hours you would have to pay a shop to do the work. Yes that was grate work you did and think you won't have any problem's form the guy...
fantastic repair on the plastic. Have used a solider iron and plastic to fill holes in some thing's before like on the quad runner. It had cracks where bolt held it to the bike. Good choice on the repair. Think they will be really happy with the product you turned out.
