There's a nice restored original hood lip molding for all 70 Ply Satellite, Roadrunner and GTX's listed on ebay. Cheaper then a reproduction even.

A..... Buy the car and offer it for sale, (flip it), on FCBO.
B..... Post the contact and info on FCBO.
A 71 300 is a pretty low production car and someone might love to have a chance at it. No harm on making a few bucks for your efforts.

Congradulations, Seeing as you bought it you need to come over and brag about on FCBO. We'd love to hear about it.
OH........ Sorry about the Chevy insinuation.
Will.
codes....
I've only recently started my jorney to getting a 1970 RR, I am stuck on this issue: V-Code!
What does thaty refer to in the car's features? I've seen ad saying, "rare v-code roadrunner" and I look at the engine specs and don't know what is that that they're reffereing to.
The...
Tough choice.....
I love the ragtops..... and have three. One silver, one red and one white.
Of the two pictured I think the yellow is the better choice... The red looks like it was restored by a chevy guy. The black on the hood is way to shiny and the whole car just looks to be a little...
69 gtx
All 1969 Plymouth GTX's came with wheel opening moldings and a lower body molding with the lower portion of the body in organisol black as standard equipment. In addition there was a tape stripe at the upper section of the black area. A red stripe on cars with red line tires and a white...
exhaust size.
First: back pressure is never good for the engine. So going too small will be worse for the engine then too big. Back pressure comes from not enough flow (too small) or the exhaust gas cooling and slowing down causing a traffic jam (too large). Easier to cause back pressure from...
R&R complete engine
I am going to remove the engine and want to know if there is a possibillity to leave the headers on. 440 with hooker headers. I am just changing camshaft and putting it on the dyno. Would save a lot of job. Best to let the 727 go at the same time?

Project convertible...
Well, this would be one model worth spending a lot of money on to restore.
Thanks for all your input guys. I do appreciate and respect the opinions expressed.
The pictures I posted represented the worst of the car. I is really an honest car with a lot of potential...
Interesting.....
That is a very common mistake. It is only the convertibles in the 500s that the bench is standard and the buckets optional. The R/T convertible has the buckets standard as well so it is confusing.
Thanks for that information. I never knew that. There must be some reason for...
Learned something new......
The front seats are gone also.
Aside from the missing seats and non original power train the car seems to be complete with good glass and trim. A lot of clean up and refinishing. It's an original R6 red car with black interior and top with low options.
I...
I ran across this 1969 Coronet 500 convertible today. It looks to have a lot of potential but needs a lot of work. (basically a rotissery restoration).
The bad part is a very rusty rear frame section, both lower rear quarters, trunk lid and likely a full trunk floor. The front seats are gone...
Also..........
A couple of points so far overlooked is that the 69 Hemi cars had the frame area where the rear springs attached to the body, (at the front) boxed in. And that most 69 Hemi cars used a skid plate welded to the K-menber.
I believe all the hemi's , (and A12's) in 69 were built...
Vin.....
I just keep thinking that there must be a way, another VIN stamped somewhere.
On a 69 the VIN will be stamped into the core support on the driver side... either on the top or on the engine side and stamped upside down.... ALSO... on the driver side trunk rail, toward the rear...
"pal" nuts...
I believe they are called Pal nuts. I have bought them from AMD myself.
Hope this helps.
This is correct.... They have "pal" stamped into them... and have an integral rubber washer insert. Some were silver color and some are gold. I'm not sure which is correct for the hood duct...
Congradulations.... All your diligence paid off and now you have a great looking Road Runner. The numbers behind the rear seat are really interesting and would support the color, although i've never seen markings like that. COOL....!!!!!
Road trip....!!!!!
I've done this several times..... your gonna love it. You need a basic tool set, A credit card, (or lots of emergency cash), AAA membership is a plus.
In 2000 I bought a 64 Dodge crew cab pickup, sight unseen, in Utah. (I lived in NC at that time). I shipped a basic...
VIN tag
It might be just me but your vin rivets look different than mine. The ones on my car are thinner, black, and the center hole is slightly bigger on mine.
Those are standard POP rivits..... There is no doubt that vin tag has been removed... The body numbers will verify the...
