brackets Maybe the 67 style brackets were cut out or notched for the turn signals in the bumper. On the 66, the turn signals were in the grill.

Were these sets of scoops made by Mopar or were they after market? I have never seen a Mopar scoop warp, and I have seen plenty of them on the east coast and in Florida with it's sunny days.

Your problem may be the Calif. sun, or it may be the product that you are mounting to the hood..

For what year of car? What make?

Rust? Is there any rust on the underside of the hood? From what I see on the top side , any good body shop could straighten that out and if prepped right, should hold for years. I have a racer that dad built in 1962 and it still has the original filler in it.

I know that MAS had an outside flange on their Max Wedge scoop. It might be theirs.

Also, we can't forget the fact that the 63-64 Plymouth hood has a very slight arch to it and they also have those 2 bumps in the hood that would be keeping any hood scoop up in the air.
