My GTX sits in the shop with a propane heater that keeps the temp at 45 degrees. I still use a low watt RV heater inside the car that provides a small amount of heat. If you store inside an enclosed trailer, I would use one of these small heaters as well. My thoughts..
I once had an orange '68 Charger with a black vinyl top and black stripes. Most thought it was an R/T but it had a 318 and got good gas mileage. Your car is yours to do with what you will but I vote for the stripes, that can always be removed if you choose. Just my thoughts...
While considering all the issues already mentioned, wheels, tubs, gear ratio, offset and such you need to think about final tire size. Most likely the tire will be taller as you get wider and that will affect street and highway rpm not too mention the speedometer gear.
