If you are talking about the quarter panel side scoops the are bolted through the quarter skin and have to be removed from the inside. Yes you will have several holes if you take them off. I think about 5 per side. My personal thought is leave them as they look great on 69 dodges!

Just stay with the same type or family of paint system.
You don't want to mix urethane and lacquer paint systems.
I have used alot of transtar products and have had very good luck. My 67 dart was epoxy primered with transtar after it was medi blasted. I have also used there clears over...
I would stick with a urethane, but you will need to do so from primer up. It is not a good idea to mix and match paint systems. The hardener is to help it dry as you so. Urethane do not dry like the old lacquer primers as they would air dry. The urethane are made to have a hardener to chemically...
How about Hodge Restorations in Inman,SC that is not far from North Carolina. Le is a good guy and knowledgeable on mopars. http://hodgerestorations.com/

Unless all of the chemicals get netralized it can also stay in tight places and become corrosive causing rust as well. Each have pros and cons as everything does. I just like the results I got with media blasting.

Have you asked Donny on here about blasting your car? He has a lot of info n blasting on here and I believe he is in Texas as well.
A few years back i had a complete 67 dart blasted inside and out I belive it cost me $1200.00 for the blasting part and If I am not mistaken another $600.00 to...
There were no VIN stampings on the engine or trans in 67. That did not come about till 1968. So there is no for sure way to say its numbers matching as far as the drivetran goes. As best you can do is it has the correct engine stampings, casting dates, and assembly dates.
Myself I would not do...
One main reason to have a car blasted is to get everything to a clean surface or staring point. How could that be done if you leave the trim on?
Just does not make sense to do it that way. My 2 cents.
Matt
Like Donny said blast it first so you know where you are. I had my dart media blasted after i totally disassembled it, and then put it in epoxy primer. I have absolutly no regrets from that.

BTW, YOU are the one that started this thread down the rebody road.LOL! But I think the the original post of seeing more Butterscotch "B" bodies has run it's course. If you want to see more of them go to http://a12mopar.com/yabb/YaBB.pl there is also a post on there somewhere by Dave Watt that...
I AM NOT SAYING THAT REBODING A CAR IS RIGHT! I consider that the act of using a COMPLETE different car, and then installing a vin number or tags on it as something that it is not.Taking a slant six car and putting the vin and tags off of a hemi car or six pack car and thats all you use of the...
