so if i take this right. if i use 915s you can still mosty run a flat top piston and keep compression up higher. if you go with a open you almost need to run a dome top to get compression up. yet the 906 and 915 do flow about the same

hhmmm did you change the fuel pump pushrod. is this a mechanical pump. maybe when the oil is cold it is thicker and pushing the rod out farther and once the oil gets hot it gets thinner and therefor the pushrod is not going out as far. ???
pull driveshaft, take big nut off pinion shaft. pull yoke. remove old seal. put silicone around the very outer edge of new seal and install in rearend. put yoke on and tighten up and istall drive shaft :hello2:
is it when you launch. i might be able to help you out. pull your jets and get some copper tubing the same size as the jet. solder that onto the jet. then take a pair of pliers and bend the top of it down a little for the float to clear. when you launch all the fuel gets shoved to the back...

i ran rubber fuel line for my tranny lines. been like that probably 4 5 years. didnt even flare the end of my lines. just put em on the end of the lines and clamped em. using fuel hose for psi and return side. never had a problem. i always did hear around 50 60 psi. i dont think thats right though.
what kind of oil is everybody running with flat tappet camshafts. i was told i should run some type of oil with high zinc rating. ive just been running 20 40. what do you guys run

huh. i dunno. this is a good question though. i am also interested on how this may have happened. i suppose that its had a different head put on it sometime in later life though. the numbers on the heads should match i believe
