i have never had any luck with chrome valve covers. they say they will seal if you scuff the bottoms up but i could never get them to seal. i have always just used felpro gaskets. the cork type valve cover gaskets and never had any problem
well. if the engine runs alright while sitting there and not in gear i would suspect maybe the torque converter is locked up. only thing you can do about that without pulling the converter would be to rev it up real high and drop it in gear to try to break it loose
i was looking for that thread that was posted a couple days ago. i believe it was a 9.25 diff for sale but had the pictures of all the diffs chrysler produced at the bottom. i thought that was a very good thread because it had the way they all looked. can anyone help me out or tell me what i...
yeah a bad alternator could make it run like **** cause your battery is low and you may be getting a weak spark. ignition would be weak. but if it was turning over real good when you were having that prob i wouldnt think that be it
well im restoring my 73 rr right now and i had alot of play in my steering column and if you have that problem ill tell you right now what it is doing it. it is the rag joint. the steel cup above your box. elimnate that with a mopar coupler kit from flaming river. but that isnt your problem. i...
that is weird. it sounds like to me when something warms up it kills your spark. after you drive it for awhile take a multimeter and check power at coil. ohm all your wires out. ohm your ballast resistor. etc. etc. look down in the carb and see if it is pumping fuel when you pump the throttle...
i have seen a coil cause that before. after it gets warm it will start to leak and when the engine is running it runs fine but during start up it will not produce a hot spark. next time pull a wire and stick a plug in it and see how hot your spark is. could be your coil is leaking when it gets hot.
you probably needa go to a hotter ignition. ignition systems will do that when they get hot. check your spark when it is cold. then check it when it has ran for 20 30 min. if it weaker you got ignition problems. big cams will mess up valve timing and timing also.maybe your bowl is over flooding...
