I went through this exercise recently with my '94 F150. All the parts stores around my area only carried the Dorman, which didn't fit. No longer available from Ford (Canada anyway). Wound up getting a couple for a trailer axle (from Princess Auto, for you Canadians) that fit perfectly.

Something to look at as well is the pin that the over center spring hooks over under the dash. I have had a couple of cars display the same symptoms and it turned out to be the pin was worn half way through, changing the geometry just enough to cause the hanging pedal. If the pin is indeed worn...

Sounds like it is optioned like my Charger R/T. No options other than a Hemi Track Pack. If it is not supposed to have a console, I'm good with that. I prefer two buckets and a 4 speed shifter.

That museum is a must see, however it is in Auburn Indiana.

The one from Bracebridge Ontario is light brown or beige. I believe it did go to the U.S. at some point. I have a photo of it from 1980 It is second from the left. These are all Hemi cars in the row, Sauble Beach Ontario.

Here's a photo of my '67 GTX "back in the day". Those are H70x15 Goodyears on there. Worked well. I know, it had Dodge hub caps on it.
