All good ideas.^^^^ Whenever I rebuilt a Holley, I also pulled acc.pump all the way down (to stretch the diaphragm) while tightening the 4 pump housing screws.
This could go on forever, lol. Holleys are more tunable for on the track usage. But, they don’t like specks of dirt. I still like vac.secondaries on the street, no matter the trans-better fuel mileage. I love both styles of carbs.
I’ve got 7qts of Rotella-T 15w40 that I’ve stashed. It’s going into my 440. From what I’ve read, adding zinc additives can screw up the original chemistry put in the oil. Go for something good and be done with it. Also,I can remember doing cam replacements at the dealer and there was no 2500rpm...
