    If the new foam were trimmed on the sides, it would be pretty close to the original. The centers are about the same width. Unless the covers are made larger to allow for the extra foam.

To repair a bumper cover, I searched the internet and found it was polypropolene while other models of the same make and year were made of ABS. The PP called for a certain adhesive. Your dash may have markings that identify what it is made...
