Thanks but I don't believe that is an issue as when the car is dead cold and started in park it doesn't move but shifting to neutral right away and going to drive makes it move like normal.
Thanks...has a shift kit and this has been gradually getting worse after a few years. Didn't start with the shift kit install. As I said in My post when starting in neutral..I have no issue but shouldn't or doesn't the pump engage in park also?
I have a 727 trans in My BB R/T and if the car sits for 3 or more days it will not engage forward or reverse for quite a long time. In gear it will just slightly move until it feels like moving. Afterwards it is fine...shifts well..and can sit a day or two and acts fine. All of this is when...
see if stat opened...start car and leave rad cap cap off...watch gauge as climbs and then should drop quick because the stat opened...if stat doesn't open..there is the issue..if it opened..rev the engine and see if there is coolant flow...if no coolant flow...the pump is not doing it's job
if you look on e-bay...there is a place that makes dana's for cars ...any dimension...with disc brakes for around 2200 new..drums are less..located in SE Pa.
spray around the entire carb base and around the entire intake first...make sure all vacumm lines are installed properly with no leaks or blockage...that's where I would start
take the link out...install the link after...and enjoy
oh...the suspension will not drop...the tires may turn but they will align fine with the link back in
750 on that 440 is fine. Carb issue is my opinion. I run proform carbs on my cars...cheaper than a holley...same performance...more features..how old is the carb?? I would replace or at the least just rebuild it. A properly rebuilt 750 on that car should not display the issues you have.
