    Cleaning electrical wiring connectors

Be careful how you use the dielectric grease, being more of an insulator than a conductor.

    1965 Coronet 500 413 Maxie Conversion

Helping a friend with his Coronet 500 Maxie project. The 65 413 is already built and on the stand which we completed fall of '22. The bay was fully cleaned out and minor areas that needed repair were addressed. Weather was perfect for shooting the bay today in 1965 Chrysler WW-1 white. For this...

Question: Is a build sheet always to be found under the rear seat?

Or, in the case of RC's Hemi car, sandwiched between the seat belt anchor and the carpet.

How important is numbers matching to you?

Something else to consider. Suppose you find a survivor car, be it a 383 Road Runner or a Hemi Belvedere like RC has. Do you see what can be done to modify one of those in your garage, or keep it like it is, the way previous owners preserved it?

How important is numbers matching to you?

Can't agree with all of your statements. I have owned my Charger for 35 years, put about 40k miles on it going to shows, cruises, street racing, bracket raced it in the 80's and 90's, and last year was fortunate to win a first in class at Carlisle, all with the numbers matching engine and trans...

How important is numbers matching to you?

When I bought the Charger when I was 19 I wasn't even aware of where to look for any numbers, nor did I expect it to have the original drivetrain. Only after pulling the engine to freshen the bay 17 years ago I found it had the numbers matching engine and trans. Had a lot of fun street racing...

    FENDER TAG??

Do you have a coolant inspection sticker on the rad support? It may be under that.

    FENDER TAG??

That's all it will ever be is an estimate without additional supporting docs as stated in #13, but I can tell you that my engine had an assembly date of 4/17 and the SPD was 4/23, roughly a week later.

    FENDER TAG??

No, on '68's the last 8 digits of the vin should be on the back of the engine and front of the trans, both on top, if it was stamped.

    FENDER TAG??

No, Dadsbee is correct. In 68 the rad support and trunk lip numbers should match the last 6 digits on the tag. The last 6 digits in the vin won't be on the tag.

Paint problems in the engine bay

Painted my bay 16 years ago and never had any heat related paint damage. Still holding up very nicely. Using all stock components.

Paint problems in the engine bay

Possibly introducing moisture from your air source. Any moisture trapped between coats can result in bubbling. Do you have a dryer/water trap?

1966 Coronet 440, QQ1 Met. Red 383 4-speed Coming Back From the Dead

Nice...I had a 66 440 same color combo that I bought from a friend in '93. Hated to sell it in 94 but it was time to buy my first house. That one was originally a 361 2bbl bench seat 4 spd. Lots of fun on cruise nights.
