741 case was used till 72 and if the splines inside the 489 suregrip aren't line up the axle wont slide all the way in

The sb and bb have different bolt patterns so they don't interchange.

You still need a spring from the pivot arm to keep the throwout from contact when not engaged.

X2 but some of these guys with the Mopar Nocar mentality refuse to believe it.

X2 went through this with a 68 GTX.The bowls generally fill from the top so it would be mighty hard to drain back and wasn't leaking to the engine.Its all the ethanol in the gas.

Yup the 67-69 318s had a cast iron pump with a lower dr hose and a tin tab on the pass side.Sometime in 69 they switched to aluminum pump and moved the hose to the other side along with changing the damper and timing cover with the marks cast in the cover.
