Pull the wire from the sender on the tank,run a long jumper to it so you can watch the gauge.With the key on touch jumper to ground,if it goes to full the guage is good and the sender is bad.
Be ready for some massive under hood heat.They were on that 64 Belvedere i had a couple years ago.Need a heat shield for the master cyl. or you'll be able to frie a egg on it,and make sure there are no wires within 6" of them.Also make sure the valve covers have fresh gaskets and dont leak cause...
Is that a heat shield under the master cyl?If not you will need one,mine got so hot you could fry a egg on it.Lots a underhood heat with the MW manifolds.
Any of you guys running the MW manifolds have any issues with boiling hot master cylinder?Running a dual master and you could cook a egg on the front of it.Thoughts?Thinking of some kind of shield below it.
Well it was so nice out today i gave the Belvedere a bath and took a 10 mile cruise.I kinda figured with the gear change the speedo would be way off and it is.It has 4.10 hears with a 28" tall tire and the early 64 style 4 spd.what do i need to do to get the speedo to read accurate?
