I don’t think I’ve ever seen one on a car, and a Mopar dealer on eBay I follow is selling them. I’ve got a 383, and live in crazy California, so would I need/want to have/add them? Are they necessary?

Okay, hurry and make mistakes, but learn and do it right again and for someone else! Or, will I be okay with this setup. Street and cruise '71 Charger with an 8 3/4 rear (3.23 diff). I pulled the axles, bought Green Bearings from DR. Diff, followed the post on removing the old retaining rings...
Everything on my '71 Charger SE has been good or best, and I haven't found one issue with anything yet, nor do I expect to. Anyways, I pulled the rear diff apart, and all looks great!
No rust, and well covered in oil. I found a very little metal shaves, but see nothing ground in the gears, no...
Trying to completely identify my 727.

What does 5724 translate to?
What does 6879 translate to?
It also has a '103-10' sacralled onto it on both sides of the case.
I looked in the trans books I have, but...
1971 Charger with 440. What is this part, it looks like a black painted soup can with two connection prongs. It’s mounted under the battery tray on the driver side and doesn’t seem to be connected to anything.
My son’s car.
Thanks!

The 727 Torqueflite is leaking from oil pump housing. My mechanic says he will have to send out to rebuild. Is this needed and does it need to be rebuilt? If so, what’s a reasonable estimate?
my son’s new project car. It sounds like there’s something slightly wrong with the passenger side of the engine. Can you tell by the video I posted what it is?
I can also post to Vimeo if needed.
Thanks!

I just recently saw this on the for sale forums, and it made me go out to my project (a '71 SE with a 727 transmission - out of the car) to find i don't have one. I did a google and ebay, an vendor search and could not find one for a '71 Dodge Charger, then I opened my service manual CD, and...
I got new bearings and collars from Dr Diff, but if the threads look good and the original nuts go on them with no issues, and I can chase all the threads. Should I replace the bolts?
Why no lock nuts?
Thanks!

Finally got it all apart and off (brakes next).
How should I clean all these pieces?

Axle? Inside/outside
Differential? I’m going to rebuild it)
Brake line (has fluid in it still!)?
All the shackles and bolts are in the rust remover bin.
I got this Air Cleaner with my '71 Charger project. It's a single snorkel Air Cleaner and is marked Chrysler part number 2683347.
I've googled it, looked on another forum that has a part lookup. Nothing....
What is its application and more information. I'm going to sell it.
Thanks!!!
I was at SEMA and looking and drooling over the March racing v-belt systems, thinking I would have to win the lottery to get one of their belt systems. I found these guys and what a great team, great products and great prices. Affordable, they use the best materials, and have Saginaw water...
Happy Friday!
Need advice here, so thanks!
When I bought my project '71 Charger, it came with a 1968 383 motor. The motor was loose, not installed, and described by the seller as: "done at one of the local auto stores where you bring a core in and then they send you back something"...
Trying to identify this oil pump. I was told it was a Milodon, but I do not see that name on it. It has been blasted of all the rust, and now is ready for paint.
Markings I do see on it are:
USA
G3 or 63 H.V.
617
Thanks!
