My old one turned into a single speed. Looking into the classic auto industries repro. They market this as a 1968-1969 part, but don’t seem to have a 1970 one.
This should be the same, correct?
Keep your eyes open for future products from these guys…my car was the builder car for the prototype 70 charger harness! No ETA…but they are a good company and they make a well thought out harness.
My 70 charger headlight motor is noisy and the plastic piece that holds the square rod is broken. Unfortunately it looks like it needs a rebuild. Being a one year part, and expensive, who is the go to guy for rebuilds? And any estimates on price? I will also need to get my 3 speed wiper motor done.
What do you guys suggest for plug wires? MSD makes a 8.5mm kit, summit has a Taylor 8mm set, and I have also heard of the custom sets.
Also, what plugs for a street strip 512 with Trick flow 270 heads and 10.5:1 compression on 93 octane?
I’m kinda leaning towards buying an OEM one that’ll match the faded/aged cluster in the car. Cheapest u have found is around $260 untested/as is. I’d guess the clock usually doesn’t work.

Any tips on a good safe starting point? I’m a ways out from test fire but would like to get something on the box and play with the software a bit. I know people pull timing on startup and ramp it up from there. I want to say I heard most of the 512 strokers seem to like somewhere around 34-36...
Trying to figure out what sort of MSD setup to use on my build. It’s a street/strip 512 low deck build. Car will be driven on the street mostly, but will be drag raced a bit.
I was looking into the 6 AL, 6 AL digital, 6 AL-2 and AL-2 Programmable boxes.
I have read some places say the digital...
Do most of you guys fix the stock harness or gut the whole thing and replace it? My car has been off the road for 34 years sitting in a field. Once the motor is finished and I get floors in it, it’ll be time to start on this stuff. My dad has used the factory harnesses in his 60s Toronado...
I am running a stock k member. 440 source recommends a 6 qt hemi type pan. I like the capacity and looks of the Milodon 7 qt, and 440 source has a nice looking fabricated aluminum 8qt pan…however they are 7” deep.
Am I asking for trouble with that low of an oil pan on stock suspension and k...
