1969 Dodge Coronet R/t
About this Mopar:
The best of 2021 to everybody!
Update Jan 2012
After some slow going the dash as been wired and all the various vents and tubing for heat and A/C have been put on and the dash has been installed. The car is now wired from the dash to the taillights and the though firewall connector mounted on the interior side of the fire wall.
Updates Have begun to wire the car. The dash since surface finished is about 2/3 wired. We have four rims with tires, front and rear brakes all installed lines still in the box, k member to rear all installed engine, transmission, gear vendor under over new shorted drive shaft and drive shaft safety loop, fuel line and returned run through body from front to back not hooked up, Carter electric fuel pump mounted on frame up in engine compartment, the old Holly all plumbed up with new feeds currently working on getting air filter to fit inside hood little more grinding and should be finished to wrap that up and paint.
A work in progress complete off frame restoration. The body numbers show a 69 dodge Coronet R/T the 440 motor and 727 transmission are 1978. There for building a highway every day driver.
Where we stand today, bodies been stiffened, all spot welds were turned into full welds, the entire body and all seams have been coated and sealed with anti rust, sound and heat deading materials. Sound deading spay on was home made. The steering up graded to rack and pinon, the rear end suspension up graded to front coil over four point and with 4 wheel disk brakes. The engine was due some minor upgrades, switch to an electric water pump, electric ignition, in house widen and polished the intake and exhaust ports to match the gaskets and replaced and upgraded the valve springs to 325 lb double ones, installed high volume oil pump and increased the oil pan capacity, ditched the Micky Thompson valve covers, replaced beaten into place headers with ITT headers chromed and ceramic lined ones. The transmission was custom rebuild by Mountain Missile Al out of Gorham NH and a Gear Vender over under over drive is going to be added.

Here are some old photos of the body holes and patches, we welded all the seams in the car where it once was spot welded and then everything was primed.
Then 1/28/2020 we lowered the body over the motor and transmission mounted on the K frame and bolted it to the car to check fit and see if the tunnel needs some more beating for the Gear vendor under over, looks like a little more hammer work.
Last but not least we fitted the left fender for a first fit and look see. You can see not to bad really.
