Well guys, I finally finished the Road Runner for my wife! It made its debut at Moparty! The car was disassembled in 2003, metal work and paint were completed in 2008. My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer Spring of 2009 which led to the car sitting for a year and a half. It was during her recovery that she decided to turn her car into the ‘Pink Ribbon’ Road Runner. Good news, my wife is still with me and living life!
While the paint was curing and she was fighting her battle, the car was in cold storage under my very first car which was on a 4-post lift. The car above hers did not have an engine or transmission in it. If you can believe it, while she was fighting her battle, my high school car was puking its brake fluid, yes brake fluid all over the quarter panel of her car!
Needless to say, with our bubble burst, the car went back into hibernation. We ran our small business, married off both our sons, watched 5 beautiful grandchildren come into our lives, built our forever home and let the car sit!
After a long hiatus, some paint correction and what seems like 2000 hours, we proudly present the ‘Pink Ribbon’ Road Runner!

I’m a loss for words but this makes us all greatful. Not being weird but two beauties there

Your creativeness knows no bounds. That is Uber cool. When I first saw that car in some Moparty picture downloads I was curious as to the story behind the unique stripe and why anyone in their right mind would paint a Roadrunner pink. There couldn't be a better reason. That's an awesome story thanks for sharing.

Way to go great looking car and congrats to your wife! For a second I thought it was one I saw at Mopar's in the park in Farmington MN this year but I don't believe it had the breast cancer ribbons.

Very cool concept. The end result is beautiful. Very cool car. Glad to hear your wife is still with you. I have a buddy that did a similar concept with cancer. Paint job of a Panther Pink 2008 Charger that he built for his wife with cancer. She has currently beat the big C.
