I am thinking about going with a air/fuel gauge.

I also was looking at the FAST 170402. It is a digital set up. It can be used as a single sensor or dual sensor. It also has a playback feature.

I want to know if I should use a single sensor or a dual sensor? What is the benefit of the dual over the single. Is the dual set up overkill for my mid 10sec car? Heck I am not even sure I would be able to understand the feedback anyway.

only way to go is with dual o2 sensors. 1 sensor your pissing in the wind.
go with the altronics setup o2 alert, i;'m a dealer for them and its the only one i would use except for the racepac.

That is a very nice set up. I have heard good stuff about Altronics. It is out of my price range as of now. I haven't made up my mind yet so I have some thinking to do for sure.

I was wondering how hard it is to tune the DUAL carb set up with one of these systems? You have a lot a run time with dual quads so that is why I ask.

SAVE UP FOR IT AND DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE FAST OR AUTOMETER SETUPS.
With the dual sensor 02 alert you download the run and run your cursor over the entire run seeing your a/f, rpm, voltage and if you want vacuum with the added sensor.
you'll see how your converter is working for you, what your shifting at, if your shifting too soon or late.
with the 02 alert, and dual sensors you will be able to fine tune your 2 carbs so your right at 12.8-13.1 at WOT.
with the big plenum and not knowing your a/f on both banks, you can leave alot of hp on the table.
But what do i know?

I will shoot you a pm tomorrow.Maybe do a group buy with some other guys from butt-turbo.com

Definitely don't waste your time buying a single sensor set up! If you only know the A/F from one side, you're only getting half the story. Your ratio may be perfect on the driver's side but way out of whack on the passenger side and you wouldn't know it. IMHO, if you can't afford the dual sensor set up, just wait until you get up enough money for it. Don't settle for a single just because it's all you can afford right now... just wasting money. The feedback may seem a little intimidating at first, but as you play with it, you will become familiar before you know it. Just my 2 cents, though.

yep, what he said.
it's the best investment i ever purchased, i cant live or race w/o it.
you can change the a/f for every season as well as every track you go to. you'll be dead on after your 1st pass. you can fine tune for each bank.
group buys are welcome and encouraged for best pricing.

Do I have to have the RPM module to know my A/F at a certain RPM during the run or is that part of the software?

For now I just need the basic set up: So does the $700 cover this?: 2 sensors and to see what the A/F is throughout the run. Maybe down the road I will need some other features which is nice that it is able to be updated.

Only 1 option a/f 1-2, rpm, voltage, vacuum with optional sensor. just click the boxes that you want to read/ its all included.
w/o 2 sensors your just pissing in the wind.
software to download included.. sensors are friggin expensive. thats where more than 1/2 the cost is. $250.00 per side.:idea1:

If you a running a single plane intake i have a hard time beliveing what you see on the right would be differant on the left .
not worh 300 extra to me. and if i was worried about it i would take 5 min from my hectic life and screw it in to the other bank to see if any differance .

I was under the impression he was going to be racing the car, in which case it's not very easy to switch banks halfway through a run to see what the A/F is throughout the rpm range. Yes, even with a single plane the numbers can be different enough to make a hp difference.

you have to read both banks in order to get the max. hp out of your motor.

Dang It Chris. I thought I found what I was going to get and then you go and show me the Altronic set up.

This maybe a blessing in disquise. I won't have one on the car before I make it to the track for the first couple of times. Now I will see how much HP I gained by using it. This will at least show me where my money was spent.

Now I have to learn how to tune the carb.
