For me it was the first day of grade 10. I remember my alarm going off and being half asleep hearing someone talking about a plane crashing into the WTC. I woke up, turned on the TV and after a couple minutes saw the second plane hit live. Couldn't believe what I was watching and as I heard of a possible plane crash at the pentagon I had the worst feeling in my stomach. I wasn't even going to go to school but my dad made me. I left for school before the towers collapsed and when I arrived there was nobody around, went inside and everyone was crowding around tv's, nobody was making a sound except for the people crying and that's when I learned one of the towers had collapsed. Can't even explain how I felt and after watching the second tower collapse, seeing lower Manhattan completely engulfed in smoke and seeing the caption ''America Under Attack'' I couldn't be there anymore and went home, glued to the TV for the next 2 days.

R.I.P to all the victims and NEVER FORGET

I couldn't tell you where I was at each sequence, but when the first plane hit I was in the process of loading my van to go into lower Manhattan for a service call at one of the hospitals in that area, about 3 blocks from the WTC. One of my co-workers came out of the office into the shop and asked me where I was going today. When I told him he said "you might wanna make other plans". The first plane had just hit and at the time no one was sure what had happened, we just thought some idiot in a Cessna wasn't paying attention and smacked one of the buildings. I stuck around to get some work done around the office/shop, listening to the radio. When the second plane hit we knew it was serious.

I will NEVER FORGET!

I was having breakfast .
I will NEVER FORGET!

if I knew how to type I could rant for hours.

i was in the garden and my ole lady came out crying. a plane just went into the tower, i said its orsen well's, bla, bla, no no no,its real. anyway i go in the house in time to see the second plane hit. rick

I wa getting ready to go to work when the second plane hit.I was in shock.I couldn't really believe it.RIP to all that was lost in this tradgey.

i was in the north tower on the 10th floor the day before installing an aquarium.
i went in a day early to start the installation and was supposed to continue on tuesday.
Well you know what the outcome was.
if i was in that building lying under the aquarium plumbing it in, i can guarantee that i would have been so preoccupied i wouldnt have listened to all the alarms or noises and continued to work.
i was a lucky guy that day.
not so much for my good friend vinny the fireman who lived up the street from me.
he left 4 boys and his wife found out that day she was regnant with a girl that he was trying for for years. Vinny RIP my friend.we miss you.

I live & work less than 15 miles from Manhatten. With no traffic it's a 10 minute drive.I was in a tow truck westbound on Northern Blvd and coukd see the smoke rising into the sky.Got back to the shop in tine to see the 2nd plane hit:angryfire::icon_puke_r::icon_puke_r:
I did not do well emotionally today remembering that tragic day.I can't help thinking of an old friend of mine that worked on the 87th floor. Can you imagine what it felt like to have the floor fall out from under your feet :(:

I had slept late that morning and was awakened by a phone call from my soon to be wife. I turned on the TV and watched in disbelief as our country was attacked. I didn't know anyone who died there that day but it didn't make any difference, they were people doing their jobs.
I wasn't born when Pearl Harbor was attacked but after watching what happened the morning of 9-11 I can understand the anger and sadness that was felt by those of America. My heart goes out to those who lost family, friends and co-workers that morning and I for one will never forget.

"It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived."
- General George S. Patton, Jr

My condolences to any who lost a friend, loved one, NYPD & NYFD in the cities, twin towers, hi jacked planes or Pentagon & too all who love this country, God Bless The USA, I will never forget that day or the events afterwards & the ill effects that are still present today...

I remember I had just gotten back from Hay Dayz (snowmobile Grass Drags) in Mn. I was half out of it because I had only gotten about 2 hours sleep and I had a meeting in Akron that morning.

I was just about to leave when my mother in law called said turn on the TV a plane had just hit the World Trade Ctr. I remember thinking what kind of idiot couldn't miss the WTC (thinking it was a small plane)

Then when I saw what was going on I remember Osama Bin Ladan came to mind (not sure why because at the time only heard his name tied to the USS Cole Bombing)
.
Never the less I left for Akron, when I was half way there I called my appointment only to find out that since he was a Volunteer Firemen he was on call to go to NYC. I still didn't know the towers were down until after I called my Mgr and we were talking about what happened. He made a comment about the buildings falling, I said no they were just on fire, then he said No... Kevin they are gone! I couldn’t believe what he was saying. And then he said I should just go home.

I had some work to do so I went to a local truck stop to work on my computer, all the while they had the radio and TV on and we kept hearing about the un accounted for plane (flight 93 which at this time was in the area where I live in the Youngstown Ohio area).
I also remember the waitress was really nervous because her son lived in NYC and she couldn’t get a hold of him. I kept telling her I’m sure he’s ok. All along, seeing the footage of the Pentagon on fire and the updates on TV.
The last thing I remember is around 5:00 this girl maybe late 20's came into the truck stop all stressed out saying that she's just getting something quick to eat, and she’s moving on, she left NYC that morning and is trying to get as far away as she can.

I remember for weeks after everyone was glued to the TV, everything seemed to stop. I still remember President Bush on TV telling people to go shopping, which was the smartest thing we could have done to keep the economy alive.

It's just hard to believe it's been 10 years. Today was the first time since 9 11 02 I watched much footage of what took place. I will never forget, but I don't like re living it.
I can't imagine what it's like for those who lost someone that day. It breaks my heart to think that some childs father and or mother didn't come home that day.

God Bless!

Amen to all, There isint anyone who will forget that day, My wife and i were at home when the one that crashed in Pa flew above us and we thought it was crashing here, someone said it was headed for Cleveland and turned back and headed our way, We still don't know if it was the same plane but thats when we turned the TV on and heard of what was happening.

I had arrived back home from working in the Boston and NY area on the 10th. One of the planes was sopose to be my flight back home but we got our job done early. The morning it happened I was back at the shop when someone ran in and turned a TV on. That's when my heart sank. Can't describe the feeling, mostly empty and in shock.
I am sorry for the people who lost their lives during these terrible events, but I'm even more sorry for and pray for those left behind who have been forced to deal with their lives and kid's lives without their loved ones. God bless, and may he continue to give you strength to endure.

god bless all who were affected by this tragity. it happened on a wednesday and i had hired a helicopter to come and pick us up at the house and take us to niagara falls to get married. he was to pick us up friday but they instituted the no flying. my other half at the time, 23 years, was terminal cancer and couldn't handle the drive there, so the copter. they lifted the no-fly friday in time to get there. we were married on monday and flew back wednesday. on november 27 she passed.
sept.11 every year has a deep feeling to me. i lost the woman i loved and my best friend. god bless all who were affected.

Sad day indeed. Stayed up really late last night watching the History channel and seeing all the film footage that I've never seen before. Geez.....and I hope everyone realizes that this is WW III...

I want to send out a big thank you to all the men and women in the armed services (current and past) along with their families for their contributions and sacrifices (as they are great). I can only pray that you all return home safely.
I also hope that all the people of this nation recognizes these sacrifices and honors these men, women and their families for what they do for us and don't hold them accountable for their government's actions. They do deserve our respect and not ridicule for they are under orders and have to put their lives in front of death's grip daily.
God bless you all (active and fallen) and may you be in peace with your families or in Gods hands!
By the way, I do support our government's decision in activly searching out the individules or groups responsible for inhumane or terrorist acts against us or our allies. Thanks.
