12ga shot gun test......

Safety First!!!Use green logs, HEAVY 1s Basketball or larger size 3 in a wedge - V- cheep manila rope for binding. Possibly moving BACK a bit. Your posts are informative. Dont wana here : he didnt come down for breakfast

use a 1/2 " sheet of steel and a good pair of safety glasses and you'll wont ever shoot another hole in your door. Hold my beer and watch this.
I always use safety glasses and hearing protection when I shoot.

I wouldn't waste my time shooting my shotgun in the garage !!
My shop is 52 feet long and have used it many times to target practice with pistols.

I'm not discharging a firearm of any kind inside of my garage. Too many things to go wrong!
Join a gun club with a proper shooting range or go as a guest with someone who is a member of one. PLAY IT SAFE!
Well, it's not just a garage but a fairly large building at 28x52....

What better time to shoot than on New Years Eve!? :D Shot outside amongst all the others shooting off fireworks 'etc'. Before someone says anything about shooting 'in the neighborhood' there's nothing but empty land behind my place and there's no chance of hitting another house plus there's a huge county flood control ditch back there too to shoot into. The closest road back there is probably a mile away beyond the ditch plus there's lot of brush and trees between that road and my place. Also took a couple of shots at the plywood target that I made and the #4 bird shot didn't even penetrate the 1'st layer from 30 feet away and the pattern is fairly tight.

Btw, a couple of friends and I have been trying to make it out to the outdoor shooting range but so far the weather hasn't been cooperating too much and the couple of times when it did, someone had a doctor's appointment or something. I just did a colonoscopy on the 23rd that put me out of action for several days last week. Don't know why since my first one several years ago went just fine and I felt fine right after. Anyways, nothing worth any pics unless someone just wants to see what #4 bs does at 30 feet.....

Cranky New Year Happy?...... Wait, that just doesn't sound right? LOL :pink banana:

What are you 12 yrs old Cranky ?? LOL Just have fun. Just come up here. We have a 100ac Tobacco Farm we go to and blow **** up.

I'll contribute... Went shooting in the back 40 with the son-in-law last week when they were here for Christmas. 2- Model 94 Winchesters; 30-30 and .45. 1- Model 9410 Winchester 410 Shotgun. 1- 1974 Yugoslavian SKS .762. I also have a Remington 870 which I didn't take out. Fortunate enough to have a safe shooting area set up in the middle of about 300 acres (not all mine).

After destroying several leftover thanksgiving pumpkins and old apples, onions and plastic bottles of water, we set up an "empty" map-gas tank. First shot with the 30-30 at about 100 yards. Expected it to explode which is why we shot from behind the Gator. 52 years old and still do stupid $hit sometimes... Hahahahaha!! You can see the entry and exit. The round fractured a bit and spalled the paper to the left of exit.

They are all fun to shoot but I like the .45 and 30-30 best. Something about shooting the pre 1962 Winchesters.

For the most wow factor when shooting a nearly empty gas bottle is to have a small fire close by and down wind. Ask me how I know that :D

Tannerite's own website states that shotgun blasts of any gauge won't work; high velocity bullets >2000 fps are needed.
