1973 Plymouth Roadrunner, had 15X8 4.5 backspacing, P255-60R15 with no clearance problems. Not what you asked but just information.A little too much backspace is a lot better that not enough. Too close to the springs, a spacer solves that, too close to the fender, cut up tires.
My best guess.... 15x8,8 1/2 with 4 1/2 backspace seems to be the setup that fits almost everything, and your 15x10 splits the difference. I think it will fit. The wheelwell of the fuselage cars are huge.
I tried 15 x 10 with 5.5" back space and rubbed on the leaf spring on one side and had less than a quarter inch on the other. If you go with 5 inch, you may fit, but I would be concerned with rubbing on the outside wheel housing and tearing up the tire and the metal, unless your roll the wheel housing under. I ended up going with 15 x 8 and am very happy with the look! 235 /60 front and 255/60 rear.
