Planning to get new wheels for my 62 Plymouth wagon. Want to use the same size on all 4 corners. Had thought about 17x7 w4.0"BS. But started to think more about using 17x8 with 4.5" BS and 235/60/17 tires (28.1" dia/ 9.40 section width).
Will I have issues using 17x8 4.5BS up front with 235/60/17 tires ?

Since size collections are dwindling for 17" tires, at least like Viper sizes, pick one that will be around for awhile due to the amount of vehicles they fit. Also sometimes changing the ratios some, from say 235/60 to 235/55, make a big difference in pricing due to the volume of sales for a given size. Its different but when I got my 65 Coronet, Jeff had put 15x8 Welds with that backspace wrapped by 265/50/15 Goodyear Gatorbacks. Had no rub issues front or back.

Yeah I was playing around with tire price to size ratio 235/60/17 at about $90- $130..

I am running 235/55/17's on my car (not a 62) but I was told that size is used a lot on Chrysler minivans, which means they should be around for a while.
