The year makes a difference. What year is yours? I use Brewers exclusively for all my parts. They are the greatest. They are a 2nd generation family business. They may have used but they do have new ones. I’m sure they are made overseas and I’ve had to use them on several different builds. I’ve bought two inputs and a 3rd gear and mixed them with originals and had no problems. There have been people one here that still have off all their old stuff. Some this used stuff is still out here. I don’t sell any parts because I build so many transmissions, I never know when I need a used part.

My transmission is a 67 model. My gear has a 33 tooth count. Brewers and Passon don’t seem to have any new or used 1st gears in stock.

Thanks Dan for the update. It’s good to see you test your stuff BEFORE you send them out. I once bought a set of Over Drive gears from another vendor and they were so tight, I could not get the last snap ring on the rear bearing! When I called the vendor his quote was, “ yea, they are a little tight, just make sure you run the gears in by putting them on the lift and go through the gears BEFORE you give them to the customer.” Well the customer was one of my best friends and he was installing the transmission. Hmm. Took us 4 months to get our money back.

I'm not surprised...I hear stuff like this often about "another vendor".
