1962 Owners.....

when I removed the seats in my 62 Polara 500 I immediately noticed that there were 4 rubber plugs pushed into holes back of the front buckets. If 1+1 = 2 then to my thinking 2+2 = seat belts. How many owners here have car equipped from the factory with seat belts? I cannot find reference to them being installed. Of course we know these car did not get as much fan fare as some of the later B bodies. I inspected both my 500's and see no provision for any rear belts whatsoever. Anyone got further evidence/insight of seat belts in the 1962 models? If rear holes provided, their placement on the body?

Front 2 only where available as an option for $19.20.
No rear seat belts ever offered as an option .
Also no right outside mirror was ever offered
