Hi everyone, I'm Dave and I'm new to the group.
I've got a 1963 Fury convertible with a 318 in it. It's a fantastic car, runs great, very comfortable to drive. But......
I have found some cancer on it. The front floorboard is going to have to be replaced and the torsion bar crossmember is going to require some attention as well. Is there any companies that offer a replacement crossmember? AMD only seems to have them for 66+. Wishful thinking I'm sure, but will that crossmember work or is it just different enough that I'm out of luck?
Also, anyone who has tackled floors and crossmembers WITHOUT doing a full tear down, especially on a rag top, I'm open to any tips you want to give. It's a largely solid car and I don't really want to turn this into a project that will sideline the car for 3-5 years. More looking at this as necessary structural repairs so I can enjoy it as is for another 10 years before embarking on a full resto. Thanks guys.
