A friend has a 1964 Polara that a 400 has been swapped into already. He just bought a 572 hemi and will soon begin the transition. My hotrod mechanic has already done some upgrades such as 4 wheel disc brakes but many more will have to be done.

Any recommendations on headers to fit this car as well as any other advice I can pass along is welcome. His family has DEEEEEEP pockets so money isn't an issue. However he wants it more for bragging rights than anything else. If he ever drops the hammer on it he will scare himself and probably crap his pants in the process.

Not what I would recommend for him but can't blame him for wanting it and he can afford it.

I did a 65 Belvedere 472 Hemi a few years back. Installed TTI headers ceramic coated. Also their complete exhaust.
A few things need to be considered. K frame. We went with a Kramer Automotive original style for the 64-65 cars.
You also can do the Schumacher conversion mounts 62-65 B Body kit they sell. This uses the V8 K frame of those years.
If you use TTI it will make a difference with the part # for chosen K frame.
OR Go with a Hemi Denny K + front suspension kit. There are several companies that make early B K frame and front end kits end kits.
These kits will state what headers to use.

Could be some modifications required on the passenger shock mount I believe. Depending on cyl head/ valvecover combo

Being it already has a big block installed will new mounts be needed? Are hemi mounts in a different location?
The Schumacher mounts are used in this situation.

It can be done but it is almost impossible to remove the passenger Valve cover without jacking up the engine.
I was looking for a good photo of the inverted shock tower on the passenger side. We did that mod. But I have no clear shot
