Yeah, those were the days.
My Dad would take me to Tasca Ford in East Providence Rhode Island and they would let me sit in the 65 AFX Mustang...altered wheelbase 427 car.
They would "fire" it up.
Most remarkable thing for me at 11 years old was "How Quick" those engines would REV.

Now, everyone is running the Hemi based engine...

I personally like the "old stuff" better than the Coporate New Stuff.
For instance:
Today, Funny cars are not even remotely close to being a real car.

Every year I go to Pomona but I will not be there tomorrow...

Half way thurough the video, the winner gets a BIG LIP LOCK from the Victory Gal...
It aint like that anymore...
 
I still love Pro-Stock & Pro-Mod classes especially, but long for days of old....
