1965 Driven Since New

Here's a couple of photos of the 1965 Plymouth Belvedere II that I drove to get a learner's permit back in early 65. This year I performed a refresh on it so it would look good for its 45th birthday. It is really 46 years old since it was built in August of 64. All these years I wondered how it would feel to have a big block in it and now I know.:toothy9:

The rebuild isn't much out of the ordinary - bored 60 over, hardened seats in the 906 heads, a little livelier cam, hp exhaust manifolds, Edelbrock rpm dual plane intake and 750 carb. The tti dual exhaust with a crossover makes it sound just the way I hoped for. Now I'd like to add a 426 street wedge air cleaner and valve covers for a period correct look.

It never ceases to amaze me what kind of memories are conjured up from someone's past when they see a dead stock original looking old Mopar from the 60's.
