I have a 1966 Plymouth Belveder II, I am in the process of converting the upper portion of the back bench seat and addding the fiberglass surround. However when I purchased the fiberglass surround it does not fit quite as expected, so I am wondering if the 1966\67 rear dash is different or if I am missing a part as you can see from the JPG there is a large gap.

Also if anyone knows of site where I can have the 'Satellite' replaced with Belvedere, or perhaps a custom phrase feel free to comment as well.

Looks like you did not mount it far back enough...Did you mount the four studs in the fiberglass in the proper place?I mean did you have to drill holes or were they already there..The chrome satellite emblem should go over the rear package tray..Now 66 satellites did not come with this just the 67...66 satellites had different taillights than 67 too..You are not missing parts...Just needs to go back more...I,ll measure the holes on my 67 gtx so you,ll be in the ball park...The emblems came with GTX or Satellite only...Also the rear package tray has to go under the rear window rubber to be correct.

67 GTX

My Brothers relatively unmolested 66 Sat has this same rear set design.

IIRC, 67 GTX and both year Sat had this, Belvedere did not, so you won't find a factory "Belvedere" center section.

I suppose you could chisel off the word.and use a fender emblem.

I have not mounted yet... I will have to put in studs to connect it to, as my 66 did not have the fiberglass surround. I spoke to a buddy of mine who is a CAD guy and he thought he could design an insert that would say Belvedere.

Where did you find the rear deck fiberglass surround I'm putting all GTX interior in my Belvedere II and I need that peace. Please tell me someone makes a reproduction of these.

The parts took 5 weeks to show up which had me nervous.... but they showed up and that part was in very good shape. below you can find where I got it from.

I am looking for some pic's of the rear seat area to see how\what brackets I need to make up to hang a different rear seat in my 66 as it has a full bench and am swapping it out... Any chance you can share some pictures?

Also you can try DVAP (desert valley auto part in AZ) they have a lot of this stuff too, but generally charge a premium for their parts.

66 Satellite Emblems and other markings.

I'm working on a 66 Satellite and would be interested in if you have any Satellite markings etc. that you would be interested in selling? Pls let me know.

I can sell a black fibreglass piece. (from a 67) There is two styles of top seat attachment brackets used on the Satellites. One is more 66 oriented, like a bench seat hook, but two are used. 67's are different, AND require a different seat frame
