So I have a 1966 plymouth belvedere II with 225 /6 and 904 automatic transmission. I replaced the motor mounts roughly a month ago with no issues. Recently I changed the tranny mount and now my exhaust seems to be hitting the crossmember and causing a hell of a racket while driving/idling. I am kinda at a loss as to what has happened, the only thing i can think is perhaps I have the wrong mount back there, one that is maybe too large? I used anchor 2272 mount. Was there a difference in trans mounts between A and B bodies? Starting to lose it! hahaha

Is the mount the same as what was removed? Is it possible the exhaust was bent while replacing the mount? Is the mount properly seated in the crossmenber? That is the right mount number for your application providing it was put in the right box.
