I’ve been around these cars for 60 years and learn something new almost every day. I was checking the trans mount on my 65 Belvedere with 273-904 trans. A shock to realize the 904, in that year, is the same length as the 727 trans.! It has a long tail shaft unlike the later slip joint 904s. I’m sure now I can use that driveshaft when changing over to the 440-727 (64 trans), it’s the trunion type but they’re stong.

I’ll check that out, just have to get back under it to measure. The 727 is out in shed, easy to measure.
