1966 charger hood clearance help

I have a 440 with dual quad edelbrock intake with 500 cfm performers.

I have a oval filter that's about 2.5 thick and I can tell the hood won't fit. I have an electric choke. What do you suggest for an air cleaner setup?

The hood is the last part since the restoration to go on and is nice and straight so I really don't want to buy a new one...

I got a 66 Charger running 383 with dual quads on factory Chrysler manifold..no hood clearance problems here...

might I suggest a different air cleaner set-up?
