Well i did it. if any of you guys were following my thread in the "what's it worth" forum, i bought the green 66 i was asking about. i ended up paying $6750 for it as thats what he said he had into it, and he let me swap seats that are almost immaculate from another coronet and grab a couple other parts off it that i'll need. i'm excited to get the interior restored and body preserved again and get it running around town!

There's a very similar one up here for same #s with a stuck poly. I think you can't go wrong.

right i feel happy with what i paid for it. 383 turns over but doesnt run. but it looks like its got some speed parts on it. and it's internally balanced so it may be forged crank. we will see in due time.

I think you did fine for a four speed car. I can't find anything similar around here. Have a soft spot for 66's, especially 500's because I had one in the late 70's. But I would take a 440 four speed in a heartbeat.

I, too, have a soft spot for them. I had a 66 440 with the Poly from 1974 - 1983. I got it from my uncle who bought it new. That's why I have my 66 440 now but with the Slant 6. Still a fantastic car.
