Welcome!

Never saw anything like that either. Can you get a closer picture of the top and the trim going across the roof?

I would think this is a 'day 2' addition or reduction.

Thanks for the reply.I will get some pics of it tomorrow and post. But it is a chrome piece that looks factory if its not its a good production.
Thanks
Jeff

Welcome from Indiana. Pretty sure it didn’t come from the factory that way.

Nice car, but not factory.

On that model, relatively easy to do/undo.

Tell us more about the car.

Welcome from nevada ive never seen one done like that in all the research ive done on my car i would try and locate the previous owners

Welcome to FBBO

Welcome, could have possibly been a dealer upgrade. A lot of dealers would take and modify things that weren't necessarily factory options...

Purchased that way in what year?

How old is the paint?

It's missing the Pentastar emblem on the pass side fender leg and the hole has been filled.

Just saying that so you know it's been painted and had at least some body work done. Not trying to bust your chops.

Car looks clean and straight.

1966 new one owner car.Car has been repainted.I did see they did have a code V20 for halo or partial top for that year.I have mailed in to Chrysler historical for the original build sheet to see if they ca shed some light on it.
Thanks

My guess is that was done in the 70's..on drugs. Neat car!

Interesting.

Where did you find a code for a partial top for 66?

I found that code on themoparshop.com web site.It says that it is the code that was used for that year and other years.I mailed of today to FCA to get the original build/broadcast sheet hopefully that will help me figure out whats up.I dont believe its original but the chrome trim across the top is just to well done not to wonder. Thanks for you guys input and all the help help.Pulling out polly head motor and trans in the morning to rebuild and install 4bbl.Got lucky and found Weiand 7503 intake.Im sure ill have a lot more questions as the rebuild begins.
Thanks
Jeff

Welcome from Canada,I myself have never seen a partial roof on any car before 1970,can't see it being factory. Beautiful car none the less,I believe in 66 they called that color daffodil.I maybe wrong and it wouldn't be the first time lol:thumbsup:

Nice car. I have a 66 myself. But from your pics, my opinion is that it is an ad on. When looking from the front, your pic shows a rounded edge going over the side. This would not be factory. Factory would be shaped to fit. That looks as though it would catch wind to me. I could very well be wrong, I have been many times, but I highly doubt that is original.
