1966 Sport Satellite

Gentlemen: I had an old time Mopar guy look at my car and he told me I had a Sport Satellite. That's a new name for me, he left before I could ask what made it a Sport Satellite. Can any of you Mopar historians enlighten me as to what makes it a Sport, (if there is such a thing)? My avatar is the car in question. Thanks for your help.

No such thing in 1966. I believe 1968 was the first year for the Sport Satellite.

I can't recall seeing a Sport Satellite in 1968.

1969 is the first year for the Sport Satellite IMO...

I agree. I believe that a Sport Satellite is a trim package that includes bucket seats vs. a regular Satellite that has a bench seat.

After searching thru my books, I have to agree that 1968 was the first year for the sport Satellite as I can find no listing prior to that.

65 was the first year for the Satellite, 68 first year for the Sport and 70 was the last year for the Sport.
The Sport Satellite was just a trim package.
