1968 440 HP motor - Santa came early!

Hello all,
I feel like Santa came today! I just got back from chasing down a motor for my 68 Charger RT. What I thought was just a 68 or 69 440 out of who knows what turned out to be a 68 440 HP that came out of a Charger RT. The guy pulled it after a crash about 20 + years ago. I just put it on the stand and cleaned up the pads.


Interest as well is there are no stamping on the lower pad. I understand this was just starting in 68 some still didn't have numbers.
Totally blown away on my find today and wanted to share.


Intake-original carb and exhaust manifolds as well. I checked all the casting numbers and the all are correct.

Check that block on top at the rear where it meets the transmission or bellhousing, near the oil switch. Most 68 blocks have the partial VIN number there. Here is an example
