1968 Charger bumper guards

Calling on Richard Cranium ..... You are a 68 guru. Were the bumper guards on the front of the 68 Chargers standard or did any cars come without them? I have never seen one in person without or at least have never paid attention. Any pics would help too.

My guess is that they are standard because I have never seen a car without front or rear bumperettes. Bumpers are pretty small/thin on both the front and back so I can see why they would want them on for support. Just was curious.

There's suppose to be bumper guards on 68 Chargers??
