1968 Charger Door Panel Medallion

For the 1968 Charger, is the word "Charger" lettering in the door panel medallion, painted Black? YEAR ONE shows it not painted for 68 and 69 and painted Black for 70. Classic shows it painted Black for years 68-70. Which vendor is technically correct, painted Black or not painted for 68? Thanks!
