Does anybody know anything about the braces that are circled? What are they for? What are they called? Does an aftermarket company make them? They are located in the trunk on the tail light panel. I have two 68 Chargers one has them the other does not. I've looked at pictures on the internet and seems to be no rhyme or reason why some have them and some don't.

Not sure why you got the Red X ... RC said the exact same thing in the OP's double post...

Red x is close to the agree mark lol. Probably hit the wrong one, unless they know something otherwise.

Call the X out on his disagreement, maybe knows something that OP question was about,im sure there is lots of theorys

It’s an early build vs later build thing from what I know.
Thanks for the help. The car I have with the braces is an early build. Sorry for the double post didn't know there was a section for 68-70 Chargers until after I posted this.
Who gave you the red X? How does that work?

I was missing one on my build and couldn’t find anyone that makes a replacement.
