Hello everyone, I want to put 17, 18 inch wheels and tires on my 1968 coronet. Can anyone tell me what size wheels and tires work the best? naturally I want to put the biggest tires that I can on the rear without any rubbing issues and I do not know what backspace to use and what size tires. I was hoping that someone else has put thiese bigger wheels and tires on there car because I think they are more proportionate to the car. Any help? Thanks, rustymetal

As long as the back spacing in the rear not more than 4 1/2 to 5', you'll be OK. the front, I don''t know about.

I'm running 15 x 10 in the rear with a 5" back space, and that's about all it'll do unless I move the springs in and start cutting out the wheel wells and installing mini tubs.
