1968 Coronet bee clone price

took the plunge :argue: (wife is a little hot)......Nate worked with me and we worked out a deal good for both of us .. it will be completed at his shop as I wanted it, with six pack hood, interior and exhaust done ..always loved the 68/69 B-bodies....... one of us will post pictures when done

What I didn't see mentioned here was how much the seller had into the car. If we're saying labor is money then I propose this. Say you don't care if it's a clone. You buy your own car. Now you install disc brakes, paint it, and build a drive line. What will that cost? Especially if you have to pay for an engine build and paint. The budget it over the sellers price already. From what I can see it looks like a nice car for the money. Look through some of the build threads here and see what people start with. Months and years of AMD sheet metal. Hell I bet some have 25K in the body alone when there done. Then everything is aftermarket and mig welded. Which body would you rather have? Congrats on the purchase

This looks like a nicely built street car, not some cobbled together mess flipper car. You can run it hard, play with it and not be scared cuz you don't have 50k plus wrapped up in a "real" bee. Best of both worlds. Got the style of old school, with modern tech. Well done man. Some people like to own dust collectors that are worth big money but never get run, and some like to drive their cars. Good to see another one brought back!

Looks to be a good base for a fun driver...but please DON'T try to pass it off as even a clone of a '68 Bee.
There's simply too much "wrong" (i.e., incorrect for a '68 Bee) IMO to consider it.
There's nothing wrong with it simply being a Coronet - but if it's gotta be a clone of anything, go with R/T,
since at least it has the 440.

44070dart you dress that silver beast up as a bee if you want. It's your car. The standard statement to say is if you want to sell it just be honest about it's base coronet origins. Not intimating you wouldn't be. Just gotta say it. Driving down the street 99.9 percent of people aren't going to know it isn't a "real" bee. Those that do can ask you about it and just be glad another Mopar wasn't crushed and turned into a honda.

I liked the 68/69 BEE's since I first saw them when they were new.. I like the six pack hood, the painted steelies, the B stripe, B emblems and the style of the B-body....I'll get around to my design of a rally dash ... I'm NOT trying to fool anyone just build my car the way I want .. thats what it is all about isn't it.. as far as the number matching crowd more power to you, just not my thing .. I want to drive my car as often as possible and not worry about its depreciation , but thats me.. this will be complete at half the price of a real BEE and I'll have the look I want, if not the value ...

To me, this thread is depressing. It makes me realise how upside down i am in my car build. I bought a 68 coronet 440 last february. A complete basket case. I've already got over $25k in it. And nowhere near done. I paid $4k for it. I looked online for months before buying. But i didn't see ANY of these relatively low priced cars everyone is refering to. Nowhere ! I guess if you live in ohio, and want an affordable project b body, you throw price concerns out the window and go for it . My. 02 Cents.
