1968 Coronet. Have questions about a few details.

Hello All!

I have been happily driving my coronet around SoCal for the last two weeks without any major mechanical complaints. Loving it! I've had her for over 20 years, and she's never run this well.
318/904, with some work done to the heads and a new edelbrock intake and carb, new MSD ignition, put some disc brakes in, got the elctrical all sorted (ALL my lights finally work!) and just taking care of small stuff in general.

Major accomplishment the other day was fixing up the rear view mirror so it didnt flop around all over the place. '

Next on the agenda I have a few problems that I might need to buy smaller parts for, and I wanted to see if you guys had any sources for any of these items:

1. - Door / Window rubber. Stuff is expensive, is there a decent brand at a decent price?

2. Dynamat - Also pricey! Lot's of different imitations of it out there. . . any of them worthwhile at a good price?

3. Headliner? Is this really a DIY, or should I entrust a pro? I'm pretty handy and love working on the car, but cosmetic things are a mystery to me. (My gf can attest to that. )

4. Sun visor rubber tips. Mine are all dry rotted, and I need them. Anybody have an ebay or Amazon link to some?

4. This one is a little tricky, I'm going to try to post a pic, but basically, I need the screws that hold in the headliner trim at the top of the windshield. It is a long peice of trim that covers where the headliner meets the windshield. I put an arrow in here to show the right side of this peice of trim. . What is it called? What size are the screws? I believe the outer ones are longer than the inner. . . It's been years since I took it out.

Any help would be awesome!

Well, regarding the Dynomat, yes it's expensive but it works GOOD.
Bare in mind it's NOT a heat barrier, it is a sound and vibration damper.
Put it inside doors, above headliner, etc....

Hey fmontez1, where in L.A. are you? I've got a '68 Coronet that I'm still working on, and I'm in Anaheim.
Regarding the Door/Window rubber - you mean the weatherstripping? If so, I bought some recently, but can't remember from where. It might've been Steele Rubber Products, which I had heard good things about. The clips were pre-installed in the rubber, so it went in like cake.
I'll have to check my headliner trim screws and get back to you on that (assuming mine are even the right ones).

I checked my headliner trim screws. I just used off-the-shelf Home Depot screws. I should probably paint the heads black.
