Paint questions: Trunk floor is exterior body color. How far does this color go on the inside of the back quarters that you can see in the trunk? What about the back of the trunk floor where the holes are for the tail lights?
Front of the car looking through the grill is a vertical panel from the fender. It is gray primer is this photo. Should it be exterior body color (yellow in this case)

or black satin like the grill support structure? Thanks!

The inner quarters were undercoated then body painted. The entire trunk of the car was painted body color. You can sometimes see the minimal effort by the workers to paint the underside of the package tray as it was often not completely painted.

Depends on if your car came with factory undercoating. The inside of the rear quarters are virtually black from the overspray on mine. The rest is bronze. Untouched since new.

Regarding the panel behind the grille, from what I've gathered over the years, if that entire area got painted along with the rest of the body, it was later painted black with the exception being colors like a dark green or black car so it's not visible through the grille.

The front fender area was all body color, then th blackout was sprayed on top covering most of it.

The trunk paint was fully covered in tailight area and up the sides. Not much paint under the quarter panel flat areas and the package tray. The wheelwells were all painted.

The sides were undercoated then painted body color over the undercoat. They were not left with black undercoat showing. These things get changed around after 57 years.
