I want to paint mine the same color as the 1968 Roadrunner that I bought when new. I would like to see pics of your car painted, I think, electric blue is what the color chip charts calls it. Mine also had a black vinyle roof.............................MO

Petty Blue

Here is mine. Pettty Blue was quite common with vinyl roofs. Not sure if this is the same as electric blue.

Petty blue ( not listed in color charts) is a lighter color blue .It is called "electric blue" in the charts, but the color chips are not good. It has a lot of metalic in it.....................................MO

You can find color codes for most vehicles at www.paintref.com - and usually there's a link when you find a color to pull up images out on the web for that color on the vehicles - of course, some of the images are bogus - i.e., a red Road Runner is not a blue Coronet - but that's just common sense....

Yeah, My "X" is also QQ1. I understand it was only available for half of the model year?

Thanks all. QQ1 has to be it

And if you are talking 1968 only, --Yes it was offered in the last 1/2 of 1968 when they came out with the 2 dr hdtp and several interior and exterior trim options. That was enough to make me order my new one. It looked very much like "wannadrags"GTX I wonder how to get a current paint formula for that QQ1? Thanks for your help folks............................MO

So, I start to look up the paint that I bought for my car after reading this post, not wanting to spread any bad info. Found out that Spies Hecker doesn't make that color. WTF? FinishMasters sold me a gallon of "something close".Boy, you've got to be a damned detective to buy paint nowadays! Found out that PPG makes the color, 13354. Guess I'll try to give this junk back for an exchange? Thanks for this post! could you imagine me putting thisstuff on my car and then burying it under three coats of clear before I found out?

Yes, I know what you mean. I searched all over for my dash and garnish trim color with the right suede look, on my 64 Dodge. I selected what I thought would be the right number. Had it mixed by my local paint dealer and it was not right. Screw it! Used it anyway--not a show car...................................MO
