Plymouth 1968 Satellite Convertible.
I can get more and better pictures- but this was the best I could do today given the weather
Asking $17,000
Great sheet metal(no rust). This is a really nice car that doesn’t need sheet metal replacement. The guy I got it from was the 2nd owner. Here’s some details
Original 318(to the best of my knowledge). It’s a non VIN’d 318 from early 1968. The guy I got it from was sure it was the original motor since he and the person before him never swapped it out. Starts/stops/runs/drives great.
Auto on the column
New tires(BFG 255’s on rear and 225’s on front)
Power Disc brakes in front(these are the 4 piston option brakes from a 1968 car)
3.23 open rear
All trim is there
NO FENDER TAG Its been gone a while since the blue paint is over it
Orignally it was a maroon metal flask(you can see it down in the cowl)
New convertible top that works fine(I never drive it in the winter so its always down)
I rewired all of the dash so everything works(all gauges and lights)
New under hood wiring harness
Someone put the factory tach in the gauge cluster and I got it working
Aftermarket radio(the guy I got it from used it in parades so its got an amp and battery in the trunk to help with the radio) I didn’t put it in but it works good. The battery is set up to work in parallel with the main battery in front.
New interior
Car has just over 71k miles
Chrome on the bumpers is fair- but they’re not beat up bad.
New gas tank
Gets 25mpg- I couldn’t believe it
Sounds good
New floor pans in front and trunk
I think at one point it had rear quarters put on- but they look good
Frame connectors
Spring relocation kit
The car is lowered slightly- the rears have spacer blocks and the front torsion bars are cranked down. I didn’t change any of it from the way i got it. Its solid
Its got a 1” hotchkis front sway bar on it
The guy before me spaced the wheel wells for a 175 rear tire. He was going to put a hemi in it and did that when the trunk pan was installed.
Doors close good
Top boot for convertible is good(and all trim is there)
Convertible trunk well is there and decent shape
Needs:
Trunk seal(I have it) installed
Convertible top seal kit(top is new- but there’s no rubber seals)
Paint
Polish trim and grill
Rechrome bumpers- front is OK it’s the rear one that’s starting to peel a little by the license plate.
Radio has a small buzzing sound. I think it needs a suppressor or noise suppressant plug wires since it buzzes at engine speed.
For trades/partial trades I’m looking for the following:
1965 coronet post car
1966 post Belvedere/Satellite
1969/70 roadrunner/satellite big block
1968/69 charger
