I think both the 68 & 69's came with the unsilenced style.

Didn't come with that flex hose and clamps either. I'm not one to nit-pick old cars, but it does say 100% original.

A very nice car indeed!
Love that color!

-Non power brake set-up
-Beautiful interior
-4-speed

Yikes!

You are right about the plug wires and that rad hose, that's the first things I noticed. Not good.

Hard to tell from the pictures but I question the paint. Looks a little to (clear coat) shiny. My friend has a 69 RR same color and original paint garaged car. His car shines but nothing like this one. I always get picky when I hear 100% original. People need to learn math.

Is the outside rear view mirror correct? It doesn't look like the round one I am used to seeing.

Good eye. I didn't even catch that one but I'm thinking that is wrong as well. I notice what I think is an incorrect air cleaner on the car (I too think they all came with an unsilenced model) and the cheap azz 'one size fits all' rad hose. I took a look at the sellers website. They have it listed for $30,900.

X2

Actually they had 3 different air cleaners for 1968. unsilenced with and without breather and also the one similar to the one on this car. but that one is not a 68 air cleaner. It accepts a pie tin. 68 did not or would not take a pie tin.

Here is the 69 383 and 440 air cleaner.

So this would be the correct one on this car.

I also agree on the paint and a couple of other things on this car and the 100% is false advertising.. IMHO

Can't recall 69's but 68's did not have the snouts. (Air Intakes)

1968 only 383 and 440 dual snorkel for Dodge and Plymouth B and C-bodies. Note oval snorkels but small center cone. It will not accept pie-tins.

Wow...I never realized they had quite so many air cleaner housings until now. There is also yet another style for '68 although it may not pertain to B bodies- My old man had a '68 Ply Sports Suburan wagon. 383, AC, etc. Got clobbered by a hit and run driver so he ended up scrapping it but not before I took the air cleaner housing along with the engine for my '69 Chry Newport. Still have the unit which looks like the larger dual snorkle jobs but minus the snorkles as it is a larger unslienced unit.

1969 RR now $22100.00 and 19 bids

The thing that bugs me is that I see so many 68 Roadrunners with 69 hood inserts like this one. Also the engine should be turquois not orange.

It's clearly not 100% original. But it is clearly one hell of a nice car! I get your point on don't say it if it ain't true. They should have just said one owner car. I doubt if much has been changed beyond the cosmetics we could all see.
