Hi everyone i am restoring a 1968 roadrunner and have to pretty much replace everything in the rear exept inner wheel house and rear frame rails. I have been told that if i cut to much out at one time the car could buckle anyone know if this is true or not? Any advise would be a big help
Thanks.

Hey Red, Matt's right...Plenty of threads to look at over there with similar or even much more metal being removed in the back. On my current project I put the car up on stands and then built an overhead jig that had arms coming down welded to the top of the quarter, thus supporting the upper/outer body of the car. I replaced the trunk pan, extentions, frame rails, rear spring shackle supports, crossmember, crossmember reinforcements, crossmember extensions, outer wheel house's, fill panel, quarters, sections of the trunk gutters, tail light buckets, tank support and patched the inner wheelhouses in the back. She's all assembled and painted now. All the panels/measurements lined up great. No issues's with buckle or the car trying to parallelogram.
