1968 Sport Satellite

Replaced the brittle & leaking valve cover gaskets & everything looks mint inside. Hopefully, that will take care of most of the oil leakage. Working on the interior, I had the seat foams replaced & the tear in the passenger seat addressed. They were able to replace that one panel. While the seats were out, I used Submit's rug shampoo machine & clean the carpets. I couldn't believe how dirty the returning dirty water was! Found a couple spare assembly bolts and clips under the rug which went into my spare bolt can. Took the rear seat out and found the broadcast sheet. While the seat was out, I removed the rear door panels & lubed up the window tracks. Check out the cool set of floor mats that I got from a member here. Just a little more cleaning on the interior & that portion of the project is done.

I still remember the first time I yanked the rear seat on mine. “What the heck is this blasted buildsheet stuck in the seat springs “? Threw it away, some of us were dumb as rocks back then.

Can't believe I missed this thread :BangHead:

What a fantastic score and time capsule, WTG Mark on the new addition!

I can't believe the low milage on it, I mean you shelled out good money for it back then & hardly ever drove it. Guessing it was only used to go to the store to buy bread and milk only.

Looking forward to seeing more of your finds. Have you looked behind the glove compartment for any other documentation?

Stay warm buddy!
