OK, I know it is dumb but I rung the bottom shock absorber stud off on the rear end of a 69 b body. It appears to be part of the leaf spring mount.

Do I have to replace the mount or can I drill it out, and if so, where can I find
a factory like replacement stud..?

Thank.

I think they are threaded in. Mancini racing sells the correct ones.

Hey thanks that will work if I cant find the real thing.

These guys are right, Mancini sells replacement shock mounts. Good quality too. As far as the factory, they're a press fit with a seal weld. I suppose a guy could hack it off, drill it out, weld in 5/8" stud, machince the step then thread it.

Thanks for the info.
If I use the Mancini I guess I can just drill it out and install the new one with the nut?

You can probably grind off the weld and knock the old out out...of course, this is easier to do with the shock plate off but if you do that, may as well just replace it with a good one.
